BIO
Jeff Kudrick
I am an artist. This does not say a lot about me, but to me it means, I am a free spirit, and I love experiences, all of them. I am quick to rush in and think later. I play hard and I live earnestly, while bearing the many unintended consequences and grew beyond them. I've always realized I would have to figure it out with little help from my parents, so in turn I expected that from my friends as well and lost a lot of myself in that self-induced darkness. I realize I have left behind a fair amount of collateral damage during my life education, events I mourn, but cannot regret.
Most of my life has been purposeful learning, knowing there was a better way, and I seemed to insist on finding it the hard way. Within this journey I have gained a lot of knowledge. It has taken a long time to communicate, mostly to myself, who I am and who I want to be. It has been with the help of some so-called enemies, and lots of compassionate individuals, both of which I am grateful for.
That is the underlying truth, so I don't pretend what it took to get here.
Jeff is the owner and Founder of Five Star Montauk, an innovative seafood sauce company making Glazing Butters using proprietary emulsifying techniques, with simple ingredients complexly arranged to eliminate the need for complex kitchen competence and provide an immensely rich and flavorful tool for you to share fresh foods with your family easily and quickly. How Jeff created these sauces and understood seafood has been documented in this book of his early years on the docks of Montauk.
Jeff is also a versatile technical advisor with extensive product and process development, and design expertise, with a focus on creating innovative and more sustainable building materials. His rare combination of roles in product development, business startups, professional services, and public company senior management makes him uniquely valuable. Jeff is a globally recognized and awarded innovator and artist in multiple mediums focused on lightweight cementitious composites. His experience has been generated through nearly four decades of high-end construction and union concrete projects as well as manufacturing of complex composite products for the commercial and residential market. Many of the projects that Jeff has envisioned, designed, manufactured sold, and delivered were mainly self-taught because they are on the leading edge of sustainable technology. The lessons and ability to play and learn with little supervision provided a unique opportunity for Jeff to look at things differently and create value in what does not exist. The stories in this book provide insight into the ways that our experiences can create the seeds for personal growth and at the same time create roadblocks that can inhibit it.
Jeff is embarking on a new chapter of his life and a new found passion. Through all the experiences, many of which are outrageous and unbelievable at times, yet he had had a compass steering him to do better. He has realized a lot about life and the metaphors and stories he uses to explain it will undoubtedly be useful to help others question who they are and where they want to be, and hopefullyt put a method and a dialogue to that passage. Stay tuned for the genesis of this endeavor and share this experience with Jeff.
